Guys, I know some of you probably think this conversation has been done to death already, but I think we really need to discuss it again. As you all know, I'm not usually one to be too harsh on the Waterboy but, seriously, club loyalties aside, does anyone think he should continue to be called up ahead of Montella? Isn't this just Lippi showing his Rubentus colours? Forget a loose cannon like Cassano; there's no way the Waterboy offers more than a proven top-flight goal-scorer like l'aeroplanino.

I would have to agree. Montella deserves it. Or Di Vaio. Or Corradi. Even young Okaka is beginning to show he has more to offer to the Azzurri than the Old Boy Waterboy.

there are 2 giovinco's, sebastian has a younger brother who plays in a similar position, and apparently man.utd and chelsea want to sign him before he signs a professional deal with juventus. f'ing pirates...

I heard it's Arsenal that want to capture Sebastian Giovinco's signature, Ita. But the rumour is nothing more than a usual hallucination by the daily media, as far as I'm concerned. Giovinco will grow into a great player in the peninsula, and nowhere else.

These would be wise moves.

give DP the boot....at the very least boot him down to the bench, and play him at times of absolute desperation (need a free kick put in perhaps, or a sure pk)

i supported his inclusion in the euro 2008 squad simply because he had an amzing season.

I dont see him emulating that.
He'll have an ok season this year, an avg season the next, and then he'll already be in phasing out stages....Giovinco should have already somewhat stepped in.

He can bask in his Juve legend status for a few years after his retirement....in Italy, he'll be praised as an italian legend....the media will hail it as the end of an era....

Then he'll return as some sort of management figure for Juve where he can put to use the only thing he has going for him (other than his set pieces ability) his off the field attitude (most of the time), and showing off his pretty lady.
