Anyways, Caceres out for the season. I've always thought he was a good player for the rotation. I'm surprised they didn't sell him to another team considering what Juve paid for him. There was a lot of value in his play. Not sure how that's going to turn out after this injury.

I believe there were talks about selling him during the Jan transfer window, that never materialized because they didnt want to sell him to Inter who were interested and other offered too little.
After the injury, who knows....

I've also always considered him a useful player. Versatile player, and tends to put in fairly solid performances.
I think he'll go in the summer though. Probably to mid-table Serie A club (except Inter) or EPL club or back to South America
Hell! Given how the Chinese clubs are spending, he may head over there for a couple seasons

I hope we renew his contract. He's been solid for us ever since he came back and I was pretty pissed when we didn't sign him at the end of the season when we got him on loan in 09. He's a tough, technical and versatile defender. And we need players like him on the roster. We can probably renew for cheap too seeing as he's going to be out for 6-8 months. Hopefully Rugani can step up and live up to his potential now.

It's hard to see Rugani breaking into this defense with Chiellini and Bonucci. How long is it going to take? 2 more seasons? He's better off getting loaned out so he can get his playing time. I never thought loaning players out for minutes was a good idea. I can't remember any player than actually benefitted from it. He'll probably get his Coppa minutes but I don't see him getting in as a starter any time soon. It's a shame, that's why Serie A is shit. They used to produce the best defenders in the world.

I always thought Caceres would be a starter anywhere else. He was an absolute steal for what Juve got him for. Things have been going their way recently when it comes to grabbing young talent. I'm not sure if it is the scouting, management's luck, etc. They're able to get all these young players low and possibly sell them high. Their business profile puts them ahead of the pack, I don't care how many Asian billionaires join in. Unfortunately, this could become the next Greek League. Big game in 2 weeks!

Well Rugani is easily going to get minutes for the rest of this season and maybe the next. He's supposed to start tomorrow against Frosinone in a four man back line with Barzagli in the middle. But we usually play three center backs he's the fourth, so with Allegri's rotation he'll get his chance. Plus Even though Barzagli is a beast, he's 33 years old and he's already been out a couple times this season.

Think Allegri is going to go with Rugani now that Chiellini is out for a month? I'm kind of bitter at last year's CL final. A healthy Chiellini would've made a difference in that game .
